Dear Friends,
For 30 years we have been struggling to improve the lot of the allergic
and asthmatic patient with clinical studies on both new and older asthma
and allergy medications. What really works? What is the best dose?
What is the long term effect? Our studies have contributed to virtually
all the current asthmatic and allergic medications on the market today.
We did some of the original studies on inhaled steroids ( beclomethasone)
then Advair, Pulmocort, QVar, Azmacort, and others. Beginning in the early 1980’s we helped the FDA complete the studies on Seldane, Claritin, Zyrtec, Allegra, along with Nasal steroid sprays such as Flonase, Nasonex, and Rhinocort. We did the early studies on Singulair, and the groundbreaking studies on the anti-IgE monoclonal antibody breakthrough Xolair. We are proud of that, and want to thank our patients for their vision. Because of THEM, you have better medications to treat your family.
But we are always looking for better, safer, and more effective medications for the next generation of patients – there is a lot of work left to do. The clinical research trials we conduct are federally supervised, Institutional Review Board approved. They are usually “late phase” trials just before the FDA grants either new drug approval or a change in the indication ( why you give it).
We take good care of our research patients – we teach them about allergy and asthma carefully. We have dedicated nurses who have the time to answer questions and are willing to go the extra mile to insure that everyone is well educated. Some of our patients compare our research efforts to asthma and allergy “boot camp”. There are records to finish – there is careful monitoring to be done at home – we check – we test. The companies who sponsor these trials understand it’s a hard thing – they pay for medications, visits, and sometimes add substantial grants. Safety is our number one concern.
Below you’ll find a listing of what we are currently investigating. If you would like to be a part of our work to improve asthma and allergy, please join us. Click on the icon below when you are finished and we’ll be thrilled to answer your questions by email or by phone. These are no charges ever for study evaluation – you can stop or start at any time – there are no obligations. If yo prefer call Diana Jones RN directly at 817-731-9198.

our work – it will show you the steps
For children taking inhaled steroids, and parents wondering if there is a lower dose, or whether any steroid at all is really indicated. We are looking at a new inhaled steroid that could have a superior profile.
For adults with moderate to severe asthma - especially those with indoor allergy and chronic problems. We are looking at a combination allergy immunization pre-treated with the new monoclonal antibody , Xolair which blocks the allergic antibody
For children with nasal allergy – a new look at an approved nasal steroid spray
For adults with moderate to severe asthma – an entirely new injection to be added to current medication
